About me
Based in the Greater London area, Carlos Moral Reis is a set and video designer for live performance, born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1976.
Since 1995, he has worked in Portugal as a set designer, scenic painter, theatre technician, and video maker at João Barros Scenic Workshop, Teatro Praga, Teatro da Garagem, Artistas Unidos, Filipe La Féria company, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos (participated in approx. 60 operas including Graham Vick's Wagner Ring Cycle), the Baroque Opera Company Os Músicos do Tejo and Companhia Nacional de Bailado among others.
Carlos has been a Set and Video designer for East 15 Acting School since 2013 and has designed over 90 productions. In addition to this, he also lectures on Set Design and AutoCAD.
As a freelancer, Carlos worked for Lacuna Theatre, Nando Messias, Tropicalia Company, and Blodlina Viking Musical. He has also photographed shows in London.
Since 2023, Carlos has been working as an Artist in Residence at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore, where he designs productions and lectures for the Theatre and Production Management program.
Throughout his career, Carlos has always been proactive in learning new ways of artistic expression to obtain a holistic and multidisciplinary work method.
